Astronomy

Astronomy is an incredibly exiting hobby. One can find something here to please almost anyone’s interest. Norway has about 1-2000 amateur astronomers. Most of these are what we call “passive” amateurs. These are interested in astronomy, but seldom do something actively, like observing, photographing or likewise. The other type, are the “active” ones. They are the ones you normally read about and from in magazines about astronomy. These range from those who only occasionally observe, to those who spend every spare moment either observing or building equipment. Personally I’m a bit in between those two extremes.
