Employment experience

The autumn of 1994 I worked as an instructor for a university class in laboratory physics at the University of Bergen. My job was to give introductory lectures on different subjects and to assist the students with their experiments in the laboratory.

From January 1995 to January 1996 I worked at the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC). This was my Civil Service Training. The first few months I spent updating an image database developed at NERSC, but after that, I started developing software to interface the database, in addition to performing system administration tasks. I was a self-taught administrator.

From December 1996 I worked as a technical architect and systems developer at Telenor Mobil, the largest mobile phone company in Norway. I worked on designing and implementing database solutions, interfaces with other computer systems and designing and implementing backend and front-end systems in Java for intra-/extranet solutions. In November 2000 I was promoted to Project architect for an internet based business solution intended for our most valuable customers.

During my employment with AXXESSIT, I have developed element management systems using the network management script language developed by Radlan. Also I have developed information models for most of the network elements produced by AXXESSIT, used in a JAVA-based element-/network-management system.

Recognitions

I was awarded a Cetificate of Merit in recognition of my contributions to the Telenor Mobil KOMPASS Change Program, by the Global Communications Industry Group in 1997. The KOMPASS Change Program received the GCIG QVS Leadership Award in 1997.
